KUALA LUMPUR, 20th DECEMBER, 2013 – As the festive season approaches, Mediviron UOA Clinic held a humble Christmas celebration with volunteers from NRC 11 to spread some Christmas cheer among 20 underprivileged children from low income homes that were registered under the MyKasih Foundation. Guests were treated with dance and singing performances, as well as a Magic Santa show.
According to Dr Chen Tai Ho, the clinic is honoured to organize this Christmas event and to see the joy in these children. Mediviron UOA Clinic will continuously play its role in breaking the cycle of poverty among the underprivileged ones.
The clinic places a huge emphasis on giving back to the society and have pledged with a non-profit organisation, MyKasih Foundation, to help the destitute and the poor with self-sustainable skills programme. To start off the show, Dr Chen Tai Ho, Aesthetic Physician and Owner of Mediviron UOA Clinic joined hands with invited children, aged between 6 to 11 years old in releasing 100 “You Deserve Better” balloons to the delight of all in attendance. “You Deserve Better” is Mediviron UOA Clinic’s CSR campaign theme in conjunction with their 12th Year Anniversary.
By cultivating giving and sharing values amongst the privileged mass, the campaign is hoped to inspire more act of kindness from the society towards making a difference in the lives of underprivileged ones.
To pump up the mood, Celebrity Fitness took to the stage with Zumba performance and energized the atmosphere. Later on, music industry’s newcomers, Sheena and Doreen mesmerized guests with their own repertoire and Christmas sing-along songs that brought the guests and children into the festive mood. Magic Santa ended the event by delivering some awe-inspiring tricks that made the event truly memorable.
Dr Chen Tai Ho also presented book and medical aid vouchers worth RM100 and RM120 respectively to each children. Guests were also given the opportunity to get complexion analysis through VISIA test and Body Mass Index (BMI) analysis.
This is part of our contribution to break poverty cycle and the best way to transform a child’s life is by changing the world they live in. With the RM120 medical benefit, these children are able to do basic medical check-up ensuring they are fit and well before school re-opens next year”
